Automation has a great deal to offer the wine industry as well. At Inisa Automation, we have participated in the development of a new automatic nutrient dosing system for fermentation tanks. A solution designed to provide precision, traceability, and ease of operation in wineries.
The system, developed for a premium supplier of oenological ingredients, enables the fully automatic dosing of nutrients to up to 8 fermentation tanks. It incorporates an electrical control panel with a PLC and HMI, a dosing scale, automatic distribution through solenoid valves, and a water cleaning circuit that ensures hygienic operation after each dosing cycle.
In addition to controlling the entire process in either automatic or manual mode, the system records every operation performed, providing complete traceability of each dosing process from start to finish.
The highlight came during commissioning: in just one morning, the system was fully configured, tested, and ready to begin operation, once again demonstrating the value of good engineering and efficient project planning.
