IOTest – Line-Machine sensor Autocheck

Inisa Automation’s Automation department has created software capable of testing and diagnosing the status of the sensor that is installed in a machine or production line, reducing stops due to not having a correct operation in the sensor. A sensor that does not work as designed in its commissioning is graphically indicated on its HMI, allowing maintenance/production personnel to replace it to leave it in correct operation (for example, due to a misalignment of an Emitting/Receiver/Mirror sensor, remains of material that falsify the signals…).

OBJETIVES:

Monitor the correct state of the sensors in subsets of machines or in a complete production line, which is automated with PLCs and HMIs. This software can be installed in new lines or in those that are already in production, achieving an update of its functionalities.

FUNCTIONALITIES:

INISA provides:

  • A fast and methodical way to do the tuning and the PLC/HMI programming in relation to the definition of the sensors to be diagnosed.
  • In plant, and already running the line with our software, a recognition for the graphical identification of the sensors that are the cause of anomaly and that affect the line stops.
  • A history of defects that occurred during line operation.
  • A recurring and automated way to add this functionality to machines (For machine builders, for example), which helps differentiate the value provided by the manufacturer to the customer with its Automation line.

Factory Electrical/Production maintenance personnel using the line installed or upgraded with these functionalities.

It is known autonomously, without contacting the machine manufacturer, the causes of the incorrect functioning of the process sequence or if the non-starting of a line is due to a malfunction of the sensor system.

Machinery and capital goods manufacturers, which we help with the implementation of this software in their lines. This would provide high value-added solutions that reduce line stoppages and facilitate the maintenance of their facilities. It is a much appreciated difference to increase production that positions the manufacturer that implements it above the rest.
