Objetives:

Our client, manufacturer of automatic lines for precise insertion of components in the Automotive/Emobility sector, asks us to collaborate as Engineering on one of its electronic plate insertion lines within a Housing. It is a flexible manufacturing cell consisting of a divider plate and several stations, with feedings for good/bad parts and outputs of the assembly.

It has been performed with BECKHOFF equipment, PLCS CX5020 series, HMI touch screen, as well as robots and vision and recognition systems. The line has been successfully installed at destination, taking care of both PLC and Scada programming and their development.

Process:

The process synchronizes the feedings of both housing and board with the robots, performing the dispensing operations that are controlled by the vision, as well as the trans-cover PCB that is checked and placed at the stations. The dividing plate moves the assembly through the different stations, in which controlled servo-drive techniques are used, codes to obtain traceability, etc. with the aim of knowing absolutely everything that happened in the assembly, in terms of data and results of the tests performed.

Milestones:

Development of the Flexible Manufacturing Cell, in the part assigned to us, collaborating with the machinery manufacturer, and using BECKHOFF PLCs and drives in the emobility sector, with increasing demand for Automation, getting into the expected cycle times.

  • Selection of components, design of electrical drawings and supply of switchboards.
  • Configuration and implementation of field buses and industrial networks in plant (Intranet and Extranet) (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet IP, Interbus). Field wiring installations.
