Tracking in a Coil Processing Line

In the line, there is a SIEMENS PLC from the 1500 series that manages the tracking of product processing. This PLC is connected, on one side, to the LEVEL 2 equipment handling information processing and, on the other, to six PLCs responsible for the process and automation of the line.

Essentially, the tracking PLC collects setpoints related to the product under production from Level 2, sends them to the plant PLCs, and records data from these for traceability, which can be queried at higher levels.

Our client has tasked us with continuing the PLC programming software, initially developed by their engineers. Real simulation tests of the processes are being carried out among the involved agents.

INISA, together with the engineers of the lineā€™s manufacturer, contributes its expertise in the TIA Portal V17 platform and collaborates in its commissioning.

The project is currently in the acceptance and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) phase, prior to its final delivery, so our collaboration continues.
